i Feed BARF (Bones & Raw Foods)
I've been feeding raw foods for over 25 years and I actually use to make my own BARF diet from scratch myself! Hard-core BARFers still make their own diet so they can better control all the ingredients. For me at this time I feel commercially available BARF frozen foods today are of high enough quality for my prerequisites. With good brand and protein rotation, they offer ingredients from farms and producers all across the country, whereas locally most of the ingredients that I could assemble on my own may be limited in that regard. I use about 10 different brands encompassing about 20 different proteins for over a full month (30 days) of a myriad of diversity I feel would not be able to be duplicated locally and offer the best of all foods available!
Textures
“I believe enrichment is one of the most important aspects we can give our dogs! Some dogs are very picky eaters as well, so I have found given many textures can help supply the variety for different kinds of dog enrichment that can help keep them excited and engaged for their meals!” - WooFDriver
Some of these foods are offered in multiple ways such as nuggets, patties, rolls, etc. so please keep that in mind when planning your dogs diet!
